Drowned Rat!

Yes Mom, I did look like a 'drowned rat.'

5am this morning I woke to a flooded front garden (again) and needed to clear the channel alongside the house to allow the water to flow away. I also emptied the pool and lowered the level in the water tank, so it wouldn't overflow.
All is well now after a full day of rain. Luckily never too heavy - just continuous. I am however, sitting now in the cool of evening, no rain and everything green.

So glad someone was up with you to take the photo, what a DUCK. A bit of blue sky this morning and the sun trying to peek through, although do think we will still have more. Yesterday's total for 24hours was 34mm

It's flood time again already Beverly? I thought that you just went through that a few months back. I sure realize just how much I have to be grateful for when I see floods occurring and people used to them.

Darlene, our summer time is from November to March and it is our rainy season. So floods can happen any time and do. I guess it is part of life, but it sure is a pain.
I guess it is shovelling rainwater and mud or snow. At least it is warm.
