Just a couple of walking minutes away.

Only way to get to this house that was flooded

Look at the lamp post - the gate posts went completely under

This is the estate just next to ours, less than 1km from our front door

Completely under

Water tank floated into the next door neighbours garden

Wow..way too close for comfort. I have been wondering how that suburb where your ex next door neighbours moved to fared? I remember you considering the 74 flood when you bought your house...like I said, way too close for comfort. Hope that all is back to relatively normal ASAP..hang in there and let me know when you have a minute to chat.

Wow, unreal what's happening there. I hope that the rain stops and there is some sort of normalcy in your lives again. How devastating, and here I'm complaining about the snow piling so high that it's getting hard to shovel it onto the huge piles.

Where are all of the people going who've been flooded out? Is there some type of lodging and food made available for the ones who have lost everything? My heart sure goes out to everyone there.

Take care my friend.

Thanks to you both,

Our local school has been converted to an evacuation centre with beds, food etc available. It is going to be a long, slow recovery.

Thank goodness there is help available, I'm relieved to hear this. Beverly which part of Australia are you in?
