A Possum Update

I thought I would share a little news about our rescued Possum 'Wattle'. Unfortunately, Wattle's injury turned out a little more serious than we originally thought. Her front leg is broken and is currently in a cast. Luckily Tara, our local wildlife rescuer, is looking after her and ensuring she heals completely. She will not be able to return to our garden sadly, as she will have been away for too long, but we are still hopeful that she will be able to be released back into the wild.

Along the animal rescue front - yesterday Dad (Brian) rescued a female mini-foxy that had been running in the road for over an hour. Sadly, it had no collar or microchip; it is now at our local pound, but we have posted details at all the local vets and also on our community noticeboard. Hopefully, someone claims her soon.

As far as rescuing animals go, that is all for now.

Awww, poor little thing having a cast but at least they can fix his leg! And thank goodness for animal shelters, they take good care of the animals from what I hear.

Have a great day Beverly, I hope that all animals are safe wherever you travel today so that you don't have to rescue anything else! :-)
